Playa Del Carmen is in the heart of the Riviera Maya. The original name being Highway
307 and the beach. Fifth Avenue is the hub of the tourist area in Playa Del Carmen, with
hundreds of shops, bars, and restaurants stretching the full length of this pedestrianised
boulevard.
There are also a number of Boutique Hotels & Condo's located in close proximity to 5th
Avenue, and many more in the final stages of development. You will find almost anything
you require along 5th Avenue, from local souvenirs, tequila, designer sunglasses, duty
free, to the more upmarket designer shops & stores.
At the beginning of 5th Avenue you will find the relatively new
including Starbucks, Cuban Bar (La Bodeguita del Medio), Fast
Food Restaurants (Johnny Rockets & McDonalds), and stores
like Harley Davidson (Official Store), Pull & Bear, plus Carlos &
the ferry terminal.
Cozumel Island is located 40 minutes ferry ride from the jetty, with ferries departing every
hour on the hour! Located at the side of the ferry terminal is the famous Senor Frogs,
which provides fantastic family entertainment through the day time, and great live
entertainment in the evening with their local resident band. As you make your way along
"Quinta Avenida" you will be requested to visit one of the many local shops by the
vendors, but be advised, make sure you have your bartering or negotiation skills ready to
snap up that bargain!!

entertainment, with singers, dancers, performers, acrobats,
movie stunts, and tribute artists all providing a spectacular
show of events. Playa Del Carmen can match Cancun
for fun & excitement, but still retain at certain chilled &
